HVAC UV Light Installation
Your evaporator coil sits in a cool, damp spot inside your system, which is exactly where mold and bacteria like to grow. A UV germicidal light mounts near the coil and runs continuously to help keep that growth in check.
We've installed these on plenty of Vacaville homes. We're family-owned, so we'll give you a fair price and a clear explanation of what the light does. If your coil's already clean and dry, we'll tell you that too.
What a UV light does
The light targets the buildup that forms on a damp coil over time. Keeping that surface cleaner can help your system breathe better and cut down on the musty smell that sometimes comes through the vents.
- Helps reduce mold and bacteria on the coil
- Runs quietly inside your air handler
- Can help keep the coil cleaner between services
- May help with musty odors coming off the system
- Low-maintenance once it's installed
Is it right for your home?
If you've dealt with a slimy coil, recurring mold, or a musty smell when the air kicks on, a UV light is worth considering. The bulb does need replacing on a schedule, and we'll tell you when, so there are no surprises down the road.

Frequently asked questions
Do UV lights make health claims?
We keep it simple. A UV light helps reduce mold and bacteria growth on your coil. We won't promise it cures or prevents illness, because that's not something we can honestly claim.
How often does the bulb need changing?
UV bulbs lose strength over time and need periodic replacement. We'll let you know the schedule for the unit we install so it keeps working as intended.
Is it safe to run all the time?
Yes. The light is sealed inside your ductwork or air handler, so it does its job without shining into your living space.
